Blackberry is the hype

The Blackberry mobile phone manufactured by RIM (Research in Motion) has been around for quite a number of years. Like every other smart phone brand, they have evolved from the early days PDA to the rave of the moment smartphone.

Due to the multi-functionality of the Blackberry phone (users can stay connected with wireless access to email, corporate data, phone, web and their organizer), it is now referred to as the "Blackberry solution". Recently, the Blackberry turned sleeker, sexier and fashionable with the launch of Blackberry Pearl and Curve series. These models came in Red and Pink colours (sexy feminine colours). This launch catapulted the blackberry phone from the masculine and corporate world to the mighty world of the fashionistas!

In a twinkle of an eye, the Blackberry smartphone has now become a fashion item and hardly do you see a trendy fashionista without a sexy coloured model of the phone. Some have even gone as far as blinging theirs to get more attraction and hype.

I have just joined in the club of Blackberry fluanters (what can a fashionista do?) and believe me, it is cooool!!

Hey fashionista, are you thinking what I think you are thinking? Get trendy!!!

Welcome to the club.

Welcome to the world of TaTToos...

I am sure we all must know by now, what tattoos are. For those who do not know, "tattoos are marks/decorations/impressions/inscriptions made on the skin with ink either for social, spiritual or symbolic reasons."

Before now, tattoos were usually seen on people of a certain tribe, group or sect. Later, tattoos became an identifying mark of the street wise, rock stars, pop kings and queens, punks and as was general belief, school drop outs, extremists and the not so good individuals. This is no longer so. Tattoos are now a fashion statement and they have become highly social. Today, no matter the age, race, social belonging, tattoos are sooo-now!

Tattoos come in different designs and colour combination and they could be temporary
( could be rubbed off) or permanent (forever) depending on how deep the tattoo is into the skin. Some people get them to symbolize love, chastity, friendship, faith, loyalty while some see it as a way of expressing their thoughts .

Though having a tattoo might have its own health hazard, fashionistas are so crazy about getting a tattoo now that they don't even want to know.

If you are a fashionista and about to have a tattoo, I would advice you seek a clean and healthy tattoo palour.

To all fashionistas, ENJOY!

Vintage crazy

Vintage is the word!

Nowadays in the world of fashion, a common word you hear from all fashionistas (celebrities and non..?) is VINTAGE. Everyone is going Vintage crazy and there seems to be a never ending backslide to the 50s fashion. To clear the air, all fashion up until the 20s belong to the "antique family", from the 20s to the 60s are in the "Vintage family", clothing from the late 60s to the 80s belong to the "Retro family" while those being produced in recent times are called the contemporary clothing.

Vintage clothing are known for their uniqueness, quality and style. This leaves one wondering if the new generation is going out of style and taste as you could hardly get clothing with such exquisite quality these days.

With special thanks to the celebrities, Vintage clothing is now a huge fashion statement. Clothing designers are coming up daily with new ideas of revamped old (40s, 50s, 60s) clothing with a little or no touch ups. We see more of Vintage on both red carpet events and other day to day special functions.

We have Vintage cars, dresses, shoes, bags and other accessories in jewelries and belts. For all you fashionistas who are yet to update their wardrobe, hurry up before you are left behind.
For those of us who like being edgy, you could spice up your Vintage by adding a little modern touch to make it VintageModern.

Vintage clothing could be found in most high street fashion shops. Let me also add that you do not have to spend so much money to buying Vintage clothing. Here is a little idea that won't hurt........visit one of the many charity shops at the street corner, flea market or an antique shop and you won't believe the amount of Vintage they have there. If you are a low budget fashionista like me, you get some of those cheap Vintage, revamp them with a little touch of YOU and you will look a million dollars.

.......dare to be trendy!

The BIG Belt

The world of fashion is revolving so much these days that it leaves one wondering if our designers are gradually running out of ideas.

We are back to the 50s and the "big belt" is sooo-now in fashion. Both young and older women have so warmly embraced it and can hardly do with without it. Be it a casual, dinner or corporate look, the "big belt" can serve. It is one accessory you can't be wrong about. For the curvy woman, it serves to accentuate the hour glass figure and for the not so curvy, baam....you are curvy!

They come in various shapes and sizes, stretch, leather, patterned, print or stones and could have buckles, clasps or chain. The "big belt" could be used to accessorize wrap dresses and blouses, fitted shirts and dresses, slim skirts, pants and denims.

If you are a fashionista and you still haven't added the "big belt" to your wardrobe, hurry up and do so because it is now a huge fashion statement.
